Hi there everyone. My name is Paul and I have just purchased a Porsche 911 (996) which has a bit of a chequered history. Mechanically the car is very good for its age (year 2000) but there are a few issues within the electrical department i.e. the front lighting, electric seats, horn not working etc.
The car has recently had a new front valance which I think is the 997 type (or GT3). On inspection I have found that all the wiring for the headlights is disconnected. The lamp units that are installed are for the 997 (part number on back - oval tear-drop). The wiring harness for the lights is original 996. Is there a wiring or connector block conversion kit available to convert 996 to 997? I hope someone may be able to help. From the little I have used this site is appears to be really helpful and I'm sure I will be using it regularly Thanks Paul |
