I got my 1999 911 about 3 months ago.
I disconnected the battery, and found that my radio no longer works. I just keeps asking for CODE. So,I got out the owners manual, and could not fins the code. I did find a 4 digit number, hand written in the back, but it did not work.. The radio is a Becker, model# R3297 ,, and the number I entered was 0947 Does anyone have any insight on this issue?? You can txt me at 740-819-2604 or leave message here.. Thank you |

Contact your local dealer and give the car VIN to get the radio code. Sometimes, the 4 digit code is entered on the sticker on the underside of the hood (by hand) by the service techs at the dealer. If the radio was ever changed out from original, then you need the serial number from the radio to get the code.

Dealer should hopefully supply when you provide VIN. They can also supply the rest of the programming codes for the car.
However, once you enter the code it can be changed, if that has happened the original will not work. Cheers
