trustworthy mechanic for a 997 in Berlin
I am writing for a good friend of mine in Berlin, whom I encouraged to buy a used 2005 997...he absolutely loves the car but is now faced with his first set of repairs.
For a new set of front tires, a new drive-belt (I think that's the translation for "Antriebsriemen"?), new shocks and a "big service" on the car he was quoted €4700, which is about $5300...sounds a bit steep to me. Does anyone here know of a reliable and affordable mechanic in the Berlin area who could give him a second opinion and/or possibly do the work? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
