Brake Rotors Need Replacement?
Hey everyone, 2007 997 with 54k on the odometer. My front pads are nearing end of life. The rotors look good, so I hope just to change the pads. How do I know if my rotors are still good or are in need replacement?

you can measure them for thickness and run-out.

Hey porschesampc!
wolds is right to point out that knowing the thickness will be a clear indicator on whether you need a new set or not. I've included a link to one of our many tech articles on the 997; which should help you out! 997 Brake Rotors - Porsche 911 Carrera Brake Disc Replacement - 996 (1998-2005) - 997 (2005-2012) - Pelican Parts Technical Article Take care! -Dmitry |
