996 Carrera 2 Tires

Current 18" Pilot Super Sport tires have been good tires- with a lot of road noise. Any recommendations out there that are quieter? Thanks.

I've heard people like the Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position on their 911s. Maybe look into those.

My 3 sets of MPSS have been very quiet when new & get quieter as they wear EVENLY.

Any tire will get louder if you modify the tread pattern by wearing it unevenly.

I replaced my original Bridgestone Potenza S-03's with new S-04's and I love them.

I've run Falken FK453's for years on my 996 and my wife's Cayman. I ran a lot of different tire brands and models over the years until finally settling on the older 452's and now the newer 453's. The tire gives pretty decent grip while running very quietly until the very end of its life - which, incidentally, is longer than just about any other tire I've run over the years. It does quite well in the rain too.

Thanks all for input. Went with the Potenza S 04's. I know I'll be happy.
