Any here know if 997 front fenders fit so it is only a bolt on job on a 996?
I have not owned a Porsche in several years so i have been thinking a little about getting a 996 anc convert the front end to 997
What i wonder about is does the 997 fender simply bolts on the 996 or is it as i suppose that the bolt holes on the 997 will not fit the bolt holes that is on the 997 chassis? I am talking about using OEM Porsche parts like fenders, bumper, headlights and other parts I do not know of any good kits I saw Gas Monkey Garage converting a 996 to 887 using a kit and that kit did not fit at all Last edited by MrShades; 01-09-2017 at 01:32 PM.. |

I wish I could give you a good answer. I have a feeling they may not given the expensive kits for changing the look.

Gas monkey went with a steel version (which looked like a disaster). The ones that will convert over are fiberglass therefore never sure how much prep work you will be doing to make it right.
Long story short, haven't seen one out there myself that will be seamless. Probably a market for it however I haven't seen it.
