Oh No - White Smoke 2001 C2

Hi Folks,
Well I finally grew a sack and took my car to a car control clinic, Great experience, highly recommended. It was a PCA event but open to all, many different folks & types of cars. Step 1 on the journey to autocross, hopefully.

All was going well, slalom course, large/small figure 8, Then the skid control circle.

While doing the large circle , going clockwise, (6-7 revolutions) tail end of the car was sliding towards the drivers side we had white smoke. They pulled me off, and brought over one of the local pros - runs a nice shop in the area. No Leaks found , oil pressure good on idle, no weird noises, after 2-3 mins of idle, and 3k rpm for about 1 min, smoke cleared, and I was permitted to continue. Local Pro, checked for vacuum and it was not excessive, the oil cap was not hard to remove. Oil level was full, & not over full (oil was changed 2/10)

some folks suggested it was residual oil in the AOS and it splashed up during excessive circles, i will run a vacuum slack meter test this weekend, and i have previous recorded measurements, so I have a baseline.

Question: Any additional opinions on what might have caused this ?
Thank You, Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Mark

I would tend to agree with those folks, but at the same time I like to be overly cautious too. Check for any vacuum leaks as planned. You seem to be quite knowledgeable, but I've still attached a DIY tech article from our site that should assist you during the test. Best of luck!
