I have 2004 996TT Cab. The top opens fine but every 3-5 closes, the latch would start latching about 6 inches above the windshield. Then it would unlatch, move down 2 inches, latch again, unlatch, move down 2 inches, latch, move down 2 inches again, then finally latches properly. This doesn't happen every time but it seems intermittently. What can i check or adjust to fix this?

Could be a calibration issue. Utilize a Porsche tester to check for faults and then run the top through the calibration procedure. See if the problem persists.
