What replacement shocks for road 997 TT-1

My 997 Turbo has done 60,000 miles from new and I have noticed, particularly driving down from the UK to my house in the south of France last week, that it is pattering on French autoroutes. The time has come therefore I think, to replace the shock absorbers. This car is never used for competition, rallying or track days (I have a 1977 3.3L RSR replica for for that). I was thinking of the Ohlins I have on the RSR, where they work very well but Ohlins only do a track orientated set-up for the 997TT. You have to disable PASM and come up with your own settings for bounce and rebound for the shocks, neither of which I really want to do. I want to buy shocks where some professional suspension engineer has sweated blood to get all the correct settings for me.

Is there any better alternative to the standard BILSTEIN9974B4P PASM shock kit? My car has 560HP, carbon ceramic brakes and runs 235/35 x 19 front and 305/30 x 19 rear Bridgestone RE050 tyres.

Any sensible advice would be welcome.

Thanks
Wilson

What! Nobody got an opinion - that's not the Pelican forum members I know.

Having done a bit more research, it would seem if I want to retain PASM, Bilstein is the only game in town. However I will probably go for the slightly more expensive B6 range rather than the standard B4. Bilstein also do a B8 and a Damptronic range but it seems to me that those are more for track day cars and involve lowering the suspension. I have a 1/2 mile long very bumpy drive in the UK, on which I already tend to clip the rubber spoiler lip, so lowering is out.

B6s are the way to go - I know some people that even track with them. Please let us know if you have any other questions or need suggestions on alternatives.

Many thanks Dmitry for confirming that Bilstein B6's are the way to go. I will wait until I get back to the UK in October, where my 997 will be due a major service and get it all done at one time by Precision Porsche, who are only about 4 miles away from my UK house.
