1968 Porsche 912 Coupe ---Bahama Yellow---
Here we have a project for the cost conscious. This is a 1968 Porsche 912, chassis #12804337. Engine #745779. The 1968 cars were the last of the short wheel base 9 series. This car was finished in the very desirable color of Bahama Yellow (paint code 6805) and had a black interior, a good combo. While this car does have rust, it isn't as rusty as many that you see. Check out the pictures of the underside and you will be pleasantly surprised at the the front pan, it looks pretty good. The main floor pans will need to be replaced and I'm sure there is some more rust lurking but this isn't one of those rusty Porsches where you have to re-invent the wheel to restore it. The other good news is this car hasn't been picked of all it's parts like a lot of 912 projects you see, the original gas heater is still installed! The engine has been partially dis-assembled but comes with a couple of boxes of loose engine pieces, there may be few missing pieces. When restored the Bahama Yellow over black will be a very attractive car and un-like the pricey cousin the 911, the 912 can still be had for normal money, especially this one, it's offered at no reserve, you bid, you own it!
