Putting '01 3.4 engine in '99 - 996

Trying to get some info on potential problems (if any) on putting in an engine with an electronic throttle, into a '99 996 Cab, that had a manual throttle body. Basically the '99 had engine failure, and I have the '01 ready to drop in there.

I have stripped down the "new" engine, and will be replacing all items, such as intake, wiring harness, throttle body, and fuel rails, injectors and sensors from those on the '99. I can't imagine the DME will have an issue with the new engine, with all the old components on it, but I figured I would check with those that are familiar with doing a swap like this.

Please let me know.

Unless the 01 is a Variocam Plus you will be fine. Double check all connections before installation.
