Unhappy 996 electrical gremling

My 996 developed a problem. Nothing happens when turning ignition key, no lights on dash. Replaced ignition lock electrical part. Battery OK. Radio, interior lights, hazards works, immobilizer blinks.

Master fuses / relays to check. Fuses on foot well compartment are OK. All ideas welcome ...

Doesn't it just block starting without pressing clutch pedal? There's no dash lights or anything ...

I was replacing the amp today on my 99 Carrera and as I removed the battery I found a lot white discharge and rust in the battery tray. I followed the positive terminal to the wall and found a lot of trash as well as the positive terminal the same whitish discharge on the end of the terminal .Once I cleaned it the lights in the dashboard came on brighter. I would check the terminal. Hope this helps.

Common issue. Try pulling the key out completely, then shake wheel left-right several times then reinsert and try again. I find that parking with side pressure on the steering wheel lock or tires will exacerbate the problem, so I just do the “shake” routine.
