Looking for a shop in San Mateo for my 997
Hello, I just purchased a 2006 Carrera S with 50K miles. After hearing from some of the other 997 owners mentioning that I should think about a new water pump, plugs, oil/water separator(?) if it hasn't been done yet, I'd like to find a good well liked respected repair shop in San Mateo,CA area. Do any of you have any recommendations? Or do you think a dealership is the way to go. There is no paper work with the car except for the Car Fax and I don't want to take the risk of ignoring possible failures.
Thanks in advance, Bob F. |

Those are the items to change or think about servicing at 50k miles.

Ended up using Ralph Kirberg at Kriberg Motors, Inc. on Old County Road in Belmont, CA. Very happy with the service, prices and great customer service/care. Got my car there around 7:30AM after having made an appointment the week before. Had the water pump replaced, transmission serviced, oil change and engine belt replacement. Looks like someone else had already replaced the plugs. Though nothing was wrong, after reading about what should be done after 50K, I thought I'd get everything done now to be safe so I wouldn't have any worries. Again, I really enjoy this car.
