Sensor Issuie??
 

Hey all, desperate for help!, New years eve was driving along, slowed down and went to turn then my motor just clonked out and stalled.

I drive an Audi a4 2.6 SE 1996 Automatic.

Couldnt start it again, the engine will turn over and it feels like it wants to fire but wont. RAC gave us a tow and checked it over, he found no spark and claimed it to the the Crankshaft Position Sensor needs replacing.

I have checked out the fault codes to find none this maybe my cheap ODBII reader of ebay....

Does this sensor make sence??? I just cant afford to spend £130 and still be in the same place.
