1998 Audi A6 Died

Hi Guys,

I have an 1998 Audi A6 with just under 170k miles on it. On Sunday, it was driving fine... no warning lights, etc.... I got within three bklocks of the house and it died. The spark is fine... timing belt was replaced at 120k, so obviously based on the spark, it is fine. Gas is getting to the cylinders. I pulled the proective cover off the engine and found oil on the outside of the plug wires, but when I pulled out a plug, it was dry. Could this all be because the valve cover and spark plug gaskets dried out?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Marc
