It does bar you from the option of talking your way out of a ticket somewhat though.
On two occasions, fairly recently, I have managed to talk a couple of coppers from writing me up for a speeding ticket. Once was 95 on a motorway (70 limit) where the guy talked me through a video of me giving it some welly on a clear stretch.
The second was when I was enthusiastically putting my 1100 kwak through her paces on a dual carriageway at around 85 (70 limit).
Both times I was able to show that although a bit on the keen side I was driving with due care and attention with generous braking distances more appropriate than displayed by slower traffic tailgating each other.
How likely would it be that I could a cop round with a number plate like that?
