I'd be concerned with engine repair costs with a diesel. I know some people have very good luck and go 100's of K miles without an issue. However, there are many stories of very expensive engine repairs of light duty trucks with diesel engines. I have a friend that had a late model Chevy diesel and ended up putting $12k in repairs into it and then sold it. Do these new diesel models come with a long engine warranty (e.g. 5 years or 100k miles)?
