Take a short tour of the city during the day. There is a lot to see and a tour will show you a lot in a short time and then you can go back to anywhere you would like to spend more time. The Cemetery is a great suggestion.
ACME Oyster Bar is always good.
Preservation Hall is a must do if you like Jazz. You may not recognize the people that play there but they are almost all famous in the Jazz world. Get there early (9PM?).
Other than that, cruise Bourbon St. and stop wherever the music takes you. There is definitely a little something for everyone. Have Fun!
