This happened almost right outside of my buddy’s house, where I keep my trailers. Maybe 300 yds from the driveway. I was there at the time but did not hear the crash, just all of the sirens going by. I was actually afraid that it was another brush fire.
When I finally looked, I saw all of the emergency vehicles on the next corner. It’s a fast, semi-rural road that coincidentally is where Leno films all of those garage videos of his cars and also where Singer tests cars almost daily. Lots of high-speed runs, you get used to howling motors whizzing past.
A motorcycle was heading east and a small Mercedes coupe pulled out from the side street. The bike drilled the driver’s door and killed the driver plus himself. The bike and part of his body was imbedded in the car, which continued forward into a fence. His head was in the road, still in his helmet. It’s been a while since I’ve seen something this gnarly but unfortunately not the first time. Sad.
Two people killed when motorcycle and car collide in Shadow Hills
