AC and R134a??
Did the e30 come with r134a in the AC? If so, what year did they start using it?

hmm... not sure about the specifics of what year they started using 134a in the E30, However Im pretty sure it was used from 1990 on. I've been going over my own A/C system recently and I'm still debating wheter or not I should convert to 134a or keep it R12.

I plan on eventually doing a rather large tech article about the steps involved in converting early cars over to 134a in detail. Basically what you need to do in order to get the sytem working correctly.
