Question Taking the front seats out.

I would like to take my seats out to give the carpet a good cleaning. Looks like all you need to do is take the bolts off the rails and the whole seat should come out. Anyone have any pointers or suggestions?

Your right on there. Just slide it all the way up to get the rear bolts out.
Resolve works great.

BMW Roundel

My carpet was so dirty I had to use paint thinner and a stiff brush on it.

How well did the thinner work? I'd like to see some pics of that. My carpets are as dirty as Christina Aguilera

paint thinner

It worked pretty good. My dad has a detail shop and he often uses paint thinner on dirty carpet.

What sort of thinner do you suggest? I imagine it would have to be a very mild thinner.

Maybe a lacquer thinner? I imagine wood thinner would be too much. How about acetone?

dude, if your carpets are that dirty, just get a new kit.
Hey Jared, will you guys be carrying the carpet kits
from World along with the seat kits?

Jeff,

good to see you. OT, but i finally found some GE NOS 12AX7's for my Fender Twin. Thanks for the reccommendations.

We currently do have the carpet kits from world. When i get some more cash I intend to do a tech article on re-covering the seats. Eventually i plan on changing my interior from the dirt-magnet tan to dirt-hiding black.

since your going to take the seats out you may want to check the plastic connector on the slider rod it activates the slider when you pull on it ,these often brake and for about $1.50 you can replace them.
