325is cabin/pollen filter

I am doing a complete service on a newly acquired 95 BMW 325is convertible. Cannot find where the Pollen filter goes. Can anyone help?

You will have to remvoe the glovebox assembly, then remove some of the heater ducts. There is asmall access panel in the centerof the dash behind the panel. The filter is located behind this panel. If you send me your email address, I can send you an article on how to do it specifically.

Are you talking about the microfilter? I heard its a PAIN to get to and remove. Lemme give you an online link to supplement Jared's writeup.

Your glovebox may look a bit different, but it should be the same sorta. Good luck with it, i've seen some DISGUSTING microfilters removed from peoples cars.

Here's a pic of someone's old microfilter compared with the new one. He said there bugs and stuff stuck on it too. He even claimed to have dusted it off. Quite disgusting!

Just a note here. When you get the new filter you will find the it is rather difficult to install because of the angle it is placed. Note that the filter as two breaking pionts this allows for the filter to be bent at those pionts for easier install...good luck.

Jared was kind enough to change mine out, and the car smells good again. Pretty soon we will be able to see all of his articles on how to almost everything, well almost anything...... I'll rephrase that almost anything that he has time for.

Stay tuned, the BMW site will be in full operation soon............
