BMW Roundel 325is Foglights

I just bought some foglights for my '87 325is (the ones in the spoiler). They were missing before, so I had no idea where to find the plugs on the cars wiring harness. After looking, I found plugs under the hood, just outside of the plastic headlight covers. However, they have a different plug pattern than the lights, and the wires from the lights will barely (if at all) reach. I have not tested them with the multimeter yet, but I was hoping that somebody could tell me if I am looking in the right place.
Thanks,
BKS

I had the same problem. I got a set of foglights for mine with the wrong connector. What i did was check each lead with the multi-meter, then cut off the connector and run butt connectors into the foglights and crimped them down in place.
