Idle progressivley getting worse
I have a 1991 325i convertable that I purchased about six months ago. Until about two weeks ago the car had been running perfect. In fact I would tell people that it was little boring because nothing ever went wrong.
Now that has all changed. The car started idleing a little rough about two weeks ago. It would be jerky while waiting at a light then eventually it would be jerky with a check enginge light on, but the light would go out once I stepped on the gas and got her moving again. Now I can't keep her running without the RPM holding above 1200 and the engine check light won't go out until about 1800 rpm. I have change the O2 sensor thinking that might be the cause, but is was no help. If anyone has any Ideas the help would be much appreciated |

you might want to change the fuel filter my 318 started to do the same thing and i chaenged the fuel filter the idel smoothed right out.
give that a try and see what happens. good luck

I second that, Check your fuel filter. Sounds like it may be clogged.
