hello I have a 1997 bmw 328i. I had my top down and I got home pressed the up button to close it and it got almost closed and then to my rear right I hear and horrible banging sound. The hooks did not shut all the way at the top either. Now when I try to put the top down it wont move and I hear that horrible banging noise. How can I fix it so my top works properly?

The banging could be the motor drive. I would inspect the motor and drive.

Hey Nick,
Have a 97 328 vert. last time top worked, it almost closed and the red light on the top switch started blinking. Have done a complete reset of the top, no results, have top down now and thinking it may be one of the limit switches on the bow? can you point me in a direction.
Thanks in advance.
