What's the word on poor AM reception in relation to engine interference? It seems like the more I row through the gears, the worse it gets. I had an old '77 Corolla that use to do this, & remember tracking the noise back to distributor interference. Any one experience this, or have any ideas?

I think it has to do with the high voltage generating a lot of RF feedbasck, which gets picked up by the radio's antenna. The fix was to get shielded ignition cables.
