BMW Roundel high speed noise

I purchased a '96 328i 5 speed with 59k miles a month ago. It needed a new rear wheel bearing and new tires. After replacing these things I've noticed that the car makes a subtle, rythmic , low-frequency noise when driving on the freeway. It's very subtle and almost hard to tell whether I can hear it and feel it or just hear it. What is strange is that the sound comes and goes in intervals of one second or so ...under all circumstances at highway speeds.

The car does have one very slightly bent rear rim and front caster angles that are two degrees out of spec, but it doesn't seem like those things would cause this. Could it be something in the driveline? The driveshaft? A bushing somewhere? Please help, my new car is driving me crazy!

It would just not seem so strange if it was a constant noise.
