				 | Brake Booster
Long story short when I pulled out the Master Cylinder to remove the busted o-ring I also pulled out this metal rod that that was attached to the Brake booster. This is the rod that the inner tube of the master cylinder slides over. This looks like something that can be poped back in, but I am not sure. A friend told me I needed to buy another Brake booster as this one would not work properly anymore. My question is whether I can just pop this rod back in or do I need to buy another Brake booster? If I can just pop it in, do I need to pull the brake booster out to do so? It is a 1989 325i, thanks for any help.

Found out that all I need to do is pop metal rod back in. Saves me a lot of money.

thYou got it there, should be ok, so long as the seals and o-rings have been replaced. Remember to re-connect the vacuum fitting before you start the car.
