Seat Problem

My wife drives a BMW 325i Convertible with power seats. The back of the seats will not tilt back nor can the seat be tilted forward to put "stuff" in the back seat.

We've taken it to a couple of shops to have the problem fixed. They all say that there is a broken gear and we have to buy a new seat rail that includes the motor, and only comes from the factory. The price is about $400. OUCH!!!!

Where can I turn to get a used part to fix this problem?

JB

Are you talking about the motor assembly or the indivdual gears?
