325es 1986 No spark from coil

Shut car off to fuel up has not ran since. Upon further ckecking I have no spark from coil. Do the rerference sensors go bad very often. How likely is it the pin on the flywheeel. The car first seemed like it was a fuel problem now this is my problem. With a test light The primary stays lite all the time on the coil, as well as the secondary check. Someone said it should flash on cranking? Thanks for your help and responses.

Hmm

Here is a block diagram to show the issues.

The sensors can be frogged, connection changed at the top and sensor location changed at the bottom.

The connection on the aft intake brace is a trouble point clean it first.

Check if you get a tachometer pulses since it uses the same flywheel slug.

Here is the fuel system diagram for a visual reference.
Your idle control is different.
