1989 325i questions
I just inherited my brother's 1989 325i and it has some issues that I need some help with.
The clutch pedal if held to the floor, stays down and the clutch will engage unless you take your toes and pull it back up and pump the clutch a few times. The interior is shot and I need door panels and new front seats. The fuel guage does not register fuel but the low fuel indicator light works. The backlighting for the speedometer is not working either. I have installed a new sending but it did not fix the problem. Any good places to get interior parts cheap??? Thanx for your help. |

Hmm.
If your parking that E30 in the Mariannis Trench you may want to wait on the new interior.
The clutch is a different deal. There are three springs acting on the clutch pedal. A normal spring to keep the pedal from riding on the master cylinder. The over center spring assembly, best described as providing an easier to hold clutch pedal. A spring behind the master cylinder piston, to force it aft to get a new load of fluid. One or more of them is hosed and needs atention. Later, |
