e30 Oil pressure guage?
I have my instrument cluster out, and I just can't help wishing there was someway to replace something less useful in the cluster with an oil pressure guage....
I've got an aviation and Porsche background, and I can not get used to the idea of having no oil pressure reading visible in the cockpit.... Even if I can't get it in the cluster, anybody have a suggestion for an elegant oil pressure guage upgrade for my 1988 325is?

I think that the oil pressure sender is inside the engine, so you would have to tap inot the case to make a sender port..
That would be the hardest part |

How about hooking that sender up to something else? Or, replacing the sender with a different type of sender and different head? Ever heard of anything like that? I think tapping the case is out, at least for me. I've got better ways to f*%$ up my DIY projects without drilling holes in my engine!!

I've seen oil pressure gauges placed in the center console under the radio right above the ashtray, don't know what sort of sending unit mod was done.
