Seat Question

i have an 86 325es and it has a sport seat. does those seat tilt forward when you lift the lever on the side of the seat or it should tilt all the way back. please help.. and which part should i be replacing.

Which lever...there are several. The one on top is to access the back seat. The one in the bottom is to tilt the seat forward and back.

The one on the bottom to tilt the seat back and forward. but when i lift the lever it just tilt back never forward

Some thing is probablyu wrong with the cable. Sounds like it may be disconnected
