Question anyone know of a set of 24s?

I'm looking for a set of 2 or 4 of the smaller (7.5x17) (M double spoke 24) rims. These are the 5 spoke version. I do not need in showroom condition, just as long as they haven't been curbed and are stright & true.

anyone got any leads?

thanks
Kutch

Unless you find someone with a pair/set, you'll probably have to go check Ebay or check with these guys, http://www.factorywheeloutlet.com ...they carry a pretty large line of used European car wheels.

You might want to try roadfly's used parts section

Whew. At first I thought you were going to put some 24" chrome wheels on your car.

THIRTIES?!?! Are you serious? Biggest I have ever heard of for the aftermarket are 26". Just out of curiosity, who makes 30"s (they've got to be custom fabbed)? And does anyone make tires for these? Do they fit on any vehicle other than an H2?

I dunno if they'll have them, but you can try http://www.xrims.com/ or http://www.automotix.com/wheels_rims/bmw-parts.html

Good Luck

those rims are very hard to come by, from what i recall, some are forged and they were quite the expensive option. very light and strong, the bmw LTW used them. good luck finding them, they sell for high $$$ even used.

stup

yah it appears that way. and yes they where all forged (style 24). the only set I was offered was a "well used" set with curb rash for 900.00!! I can get these from the dealer with my CCA discount for ~480/ea. thats still alot to pay... I think I'll break down and just find a good set thats not to heavy...

hey stup, those staggered rims you have. did you notice more understeer with those? I have a lead on a set but I do not want to induce MORE understeer into the car... KUTCH_L@JUNO.com

i didn't really notice the understeer at first but when i switched to my BBS that i use right now, thats when i noticed the car became a lot easier to control for turn in. 235/40 all around is much better than 225 fronts and 245 rears, or even 235 rear is what I had. Only positives about the staggered setup is the fact that you are more planted coming out of the turn, and also it looks cool to have wider rears. Contours are very beautiful rims, go for it!

well guys, I found a set! I would have been happy to find a set just stright and true with some scatches here and there, these are in almost mint condition! They where ordered as an option on a '99 M3. So far I'm just waiting for the details to be ironed out, this guy has been great to deal with! I tell ya', being in the BMW CCA has let me make a-lot of connections with people you can actually trust! -and I have to add, all the help from members on BMW boards like here at Pelican.
