Vic,
I put them on my car about 6 months ago and have no complaints. The ride is close to original and the handling improved, I also at the time put on BAS springs which slightly lowered the car. Again, no complaints.
I have been very happy with my experience using these products.

Hope this helps !

I have heard great things about bilstein, I have but koni shocks on which ride pretty smooth and they are adjustable so you can easily change from a stiff ride to a smoother ride. But both companies are reputed as to having a relatively stock ride. If you get springs that may significantly change the feel of your ride. I put H &R springs, i would not recommend them because that has stiffen the ride a lot. I heard Iobach makes a relatively smooth spring.

The Bilstein shocks are my defacto recommendation for all the Porsches and the BMWs. I run them on all my cars when I replace them. The Bilsteins will typically outlast the life of your car - you ususally don't ever need to replace them.

Last week I put Eibach Pro-Kit springs, Bilstien Sport struts/shocks, new tie rod assemblies, a strut tower brace and a 17x8/17x9 staggered wheel set on my '93 325i.

I don't take the car to the track, but would consider my driving somewhat "spirited" for lack of a better term. I certainly notice a difference in feel - a little harder- but I love it. The car just seems "tighter." I looked at Konis, but since I really never saw a situation where I would need to fine-tune my suspension one way or another, I went with Bilstein.

Now granted, the +2 wheel/tire modification plays a large part in the overall handling, but the slightly "stiffer" comfort level of the ride (this ain't your daddy's Cadillac) is well worth the overall tighter feel of the car's performance.

bilstein sports are the same in stiffness as touring. Difference is, sports go with lowering springs, touring for stock springs. The sports mate very well with HR Sports and Eibach Pro Kit.

Where do you get this from man??????? HD and sport are the same stiffness. Touring about 20% more than stock. HD and Touring are design for stock spring. Serveral people run touring with shorter spring but this will kill the shocks faster. Since touring have lifetime warranty, so no one worry about them.

Not a good idea to run HD's with shorter springs.

I know, and and that's exactly my problem. I've got a 94 325ic that I bought a set of Bilstein HDs for intending to keep the stock springs. For various reasons I didn't get around to installing them for a while and now that I'm ready to put them on I find that I've got a broken rear spring. New stock springs from the dealer are outrageously priced, but I can't find any aftermarket stock-height springs they will all lower the car too much for the HDs. The only near stock-height spring I've found is the H&R OE Sport and they don't make them for the convertible. I called H&R and they said the car wouldn't sit right if I used the 325is OE sports. Any suggestions? Do I have any choices besides stock springs or selling the HD's and getting a set of Sports? Thanks for any help.

Brian

Occasionally there's a set of stock i or is springs on ebay but it's pretty rare. I've never seen a set from a 325/328ic. From what I've heard the front springs are the same between the is and ic, the ic has stiffer rear springs due to the extra weight. I figure if H&R says the car will sit too low in the rear with their non-ic OE sports that stock is springs would have the same problem.
