Just thought I'd ask...I have the opportunity to sell my 98 328is and buy a workmates 2000 328Ci. BUT, I also have the opportunity to buy a 98 M3 for 1K less. The 328Ci has 40K miles and has been taken care of. Its got the HID lighting and a few other little goodies thrown in. The 98 M3 is stock but pristine with 76K miles...WHAT WOULD YOU DO? This will be my daily driver, YEAR round, that means 60 miles a day even in the snow of upstate NY... PLEASE advise...

I just came across your thread and in my opinion, I would definitely, without even blinking go for the M car. Bottom line. No screwing around. However, not year 'round. Get a beater car or something cheap. Dont get me wrong. You can certainly drive these cars in winters, especially with the supplied traction control w/ snow tires but these are special cars & in my opinion shouldnt be subjected to the elements. Is the M3 you are contemplating a manual or automatic?
