Hood Struts

Hello,
I am a new member although I have browsed here before and appreciated the tech articles. My current problem is replacing my hood struts on my 98 M3 vert. The ends have keepers and the lowers look a bit cramped for space. Is there a trick to taking the old struts off and insalling the new ones?

Well, no one replied, so I went at it. For others who may search this thread, it's pretty easy, just tap the clips with a flat screwdriver to release the hood pins and wiggle off. Reverrse for install. Took only 20 minutes.
