BMW Roundel Starter bolt question

i have a 1993 325is and i was wondering if its nessecary to take out the starter bolt. if so, can someone tell me where it is located. i cant seem to find the bolt. i think im looking at the starter.. the picture on the clutch replacement tech info thing is too zoomed in and i dont know where it is located at. pelase help. thanks

Why do you need to remove the bolt? What are you trying to do?

Yes, the starter bolts pass through the transmission housing at the top. One is relatively easy to get to, the other is very difficult.
Try taking a small flashlight and shine it in the rear (last hole) in the intake plenum. There are (2) holes, one to the right and one closer to the engine. The bolt is almost directly below the one closer to the engine. You can not see it any other way.

I am assuming you have 95 or older car.
