Exclamation Engine seems to be Hunting

G'day all!
Right, things are all starting to fall into place now and after 5hours detailing her on Saturday i'm getting really picky!

Last night when driving i noticed the engine seems to hunt through the RPM at the lights it sounds like the power steering when you load it up?
it's not missing and it dosent feel like it is going to stall but this noise and small vibration through the steering wheel have me scratching my head...
No codes are logged in OBC.
Guys any help would be greatly appreciated!
Luke.

It it pulsating? Could be a injector issue (might try running some injector cleaner through a full tank of gas) or it could be a sensor not quite reading right and continually adjusting RPM. Are the noise and vibration anything unusual as far as an engine sound? Or just noise and vibration from the hunting of the RPMs?

It could also be the idle control valve. mine was stuck and made my idle hunt when i loaded the the engine a little. it also hunted if i let the car roll out of gear at idle (down a hill for example).
The fix is to take it off and use carb cleaner.

All good thanks for your help guys i did both things you suggested, first the IAC solenoid, i removed it and cleaned the pintle. An instant improvment when i first drove her!!!
And i'm running a tank of Shell Optimax (Fuel with cleaner already in it) and it just keeps smoothing out!
Thanks!
