Hey guys one night I drained the battery on my car by leaving the dome light on anyway, now the alarm dont work. I dont know if I lost my motor to the alarm but I dont even know where to start to try to see whats wrong with it. I just replaced my battery in the keychain but my the light blinks so I know thats not it, and it worked up until the night I drained it. The battery connection is okay, any thoughts on how to reset it, or where to even start. The keyless entry wont even work. Any help will be appreciated.

I had a similar problem recently when a battery cable came loose and my aftermarket alarm went crazy.
Do you have a factory alarm or aftermarket? Jeron

After my battery cable came loose the alarm started locking the doors about 1 minute after I opened or closed a door.
This was very bad the first time it happened. I was on the starting grid at an autocross with the engine running, A/C on, windows up and I got out of the car to talk to someone. Came back and the car was locked. Luckily I just happened to grab a spare set as I left the house that morning. Otherwise it would have been big trouble because I was about 60 miles from home. Anyway, the alarm came with the car when I bought it used and I didn't even know it was there. The factory alarm hook up is behind the glove box. Most likely your alarm is there. I was able to just unplug my alarm from the car to uninstall it. Your problem is probably that your key fobs need to reassociated with the alarm system. This usually involves turning the ignition to on and holding a button down on the alarm, or maybe the key bypass button if it has one, and simultaneously pressing the key fob. If you have the instructions you should be able do it yourself. Otherwise try to findout who intalled it or pull the glovebox and find out what model the alarm is then try to find an instruction manual for it. Last resort is to sweet talk an alarm shop into helping you. Jeron

LOL, thanks for the input, yeah that would have sucked if you didnt have the spare keys, lucky you. Yeah everything is under the glove box even the little button you are talking about, we pressed it nothing just the alarm light blinking even when car is driving last night I went out to the store and the stupied thing went off, except, it wasnt the sound of a alarm it was clicking but if you hit the car the clicking went fast as if the alarm was going off. lol. Ugh I may be looking at buying a new system. thanks!

Mine made a clicking noise also. I think it was a relay clicking to flash the hazards like alarms do, but since the alarm had already been partially disabled they didn't flash.
I can't imagine that draining the battery would damage your alarm. I still think you just need to reassociate the remotes. I had to do it with an alarm about 10+years ago and I think the procedure was: turn the ignition to ON, press and hold the bypass button then press the remote button. The bypass button allows you to start the car even if the alarm is going off by holding it down while you start the engine. Jeron
