The 325I does not have a dual exhaust. A true dual exhaust will empty out of the car through seperate mufflers. Neither the 325I or the 323I have duals. They both empty from a single muffler with dual tips. Unfortunately, most performance exhausts that are worth a crap are going to be on the expensive side, because of the materials and techniques used to craft them. I would recommend saving your beans and purchasing a Supersprint cat-back or Borla perhaps. Both are great systems which cost around $500 or so.

I have heard that removing the cat converter and installing straight pipes can make quite a difference, but have not experienced that first hand. I would say that the best thing to do is to search for a high flow cat converter and a nice cat-back exhaust would be your best option.

Look, universal mufflers are just that... universal. They will fit almost anything. These mufflers are designed to accomodate a large host of different vehicles. To design a muffler that increases power over stock levels, it must be carefully designed for that one specific car and its exhaust output. That is why cat-back exhausts are generally so much money, because it was designed to work BETTER on your paticular car. You can't get something for nothing, $18 bucks is going to buy you one piece of crap muffler. Going faster costs money, if you can't afford it now, stay stock and save your money. It'll be worth it.

that muffler you are looking at will do nothing for your car, simple as that...
If it were me, i'd spend the money and go take some driving courses so that you can learn how to make the most out of what you have. Besides the 328i moves pretty well out of the box anyway... |
