im doing a new timing belt and water pump, and while i had that stuff apart, was wondering if an i cam actually does work, with any sort of power gains? was told it would give a little more top end. can anyone help?

Wont work.

You'd need to modify the heads and pistons to make it work correctly, but at that point, I'd say just put a complete I motor in the car..

thanks for the reply, i was told it was like an intermediate cam, but was worried about vavle clearance, im asuming that the only other alternative would be like a schrick cam. is this true?

Realistically, you're not going to much out of the e motor. They were designed for torque, not horsepower.

I really wouldnt suggest putting a cam in it. You're talking about spending several hundred dollars just for the cam, and then there's the labor of having it installed, (head must be removed) It really just doesnt add up in my opinion. Better to put a i motor in.
