Pollen filter (Microfilter)

I have a 96 318ti. Can someone tell me how to change the Pollen filters (Microfilter)? When I purchased the filters from Palican, it says two filters per car.

I think they go behind the glove box. But when I removed glove box, I couldn't find them.

Thanks,
Joseph

I was able to change the Pollen filters over the weekend. For 96 318 ti, you have to access the two filters from the engine bay. Remove the grille right under the windshield wipers, and go from there.

Here is where you will get step by step info with color pictures!

Look for Ron Stygar home page, and then look under
Lets replace the micro filters in my '97 318tis

Lots of other good information too. Or go to www.318ti.org for Ti specific information.

Good Luck!!!

Yeehawbob,

Thanks for the site. It does have lots of good info.

However, to change my 96 318ti Microfilters, I had to go from the engine bay, NOT glove box. I did that last weekend.

Thanks,
Joseph

Yeehawbob,

After 2nd look of the website you provided, I did find "Lets replace the micro filters in my '97 318ti" (I was looking at E36 Microfilter replacement by mistake).

It IS a perfect site with color pictures! I performed the same as what the site instructed, but maybe 30 minutes longer. I wish I found that site earlier.

Thanks,
Joseph
