Noise from drivers side rear shock.

I just had all the shocks changed on my 94 325 convertible. There is a noise coming from the rear driver side shock that I suspect coming from the shock mount. Would that be right ? and if not what else could it be?

Cool

When you installed your shocks, your rear spring may have moved out of its proper position. Look directly under the spring to see if the rubber seat is correctly inserted into the round hole. If not, you'll need to reposition the spring. To do that, jack up the car, remove the wheel, remove the lower shock connection bolt and then with a bar or very large screw driver, push down on the rear suspension in order to eliminate all of the spring compression. If you push down far enough, your assistant can easily remove or reposition the spring. Then, hook everything back up again.

Most likely it is the RSM. The sturdiest OEM replacement is the E46 RSM. The best is to buy aftermarket urethane.

IF it seems to be the spring...

I was able to move my spring just by just removing the wheel and twisting it. If you have trouble and dont have a partner to pry down try a little WD40 to lube the spring to rubber grommet area.
