Manual Trans & Differetial Fluid?
I want to change the manual transmission and rear differential fluid in my 1985 325e. What oils do i need ? and is there anything else i need to know.

Welcome to the board Firedad. I use Swepco 80-90 in both my transmission and the rear differential in my 325. I would have used Redline, but I had the Swepco sitting around in the garage. But you can use any brand. I would just make sure it is name brand like Valvoline, Mobile, or others.

You'll also need some allen head sockets to get the plugs out. 17mm for the tranny and 14mm for the differential..
I'd reccommend either Swepco or Redline. I have Swepco in mine right now and it made my diff a little quieter... |
