ignition coil # 4 not getting a signal. All injectors read 16.3 ohm. Seems like a computer fault ...any ideas. 92 325i ....

how are you testing it? The input from the wires to the coil? Or the output from the coil to the spark plug?

i pulled the coil #4 out and there is no difference. i bought a new coil no difference. i replaced all spark plugs and put a new valve gasket on. i had the injectors checked and all them read 16.3 ohm. check engine light was on changed oxygen sensor went a way for a couple weeks.

well i guess if i tried replacing the coil that would be the output. im just wondering do i need a new monotronic control or a new computer. i already purchased all new coils. all the other coils work properly all the injectors work properly. if it is the monotronic is there a quick reset or does it need to be replaced?

the computer->(dme) is burning up ur coils-->by just changing the coils it is only going to burn them eventually..if U dont replace ALL the coils then the old coils will burn up the new dme....U have to replace all of the above unfortunantly
