Hello. My name is Giorgio and i am from Greece.I find this site in google. But i know the shop.I have an e30 320is(ex 316).I have it 2 years now.I have changend all the mecanic and electric parts from the 320iS.I have a problem with the idle valve. It is not moving.I have power in the midle and mV in the two athers. In have bought also and another new idle valve and also is not working. If i put 12v in the valves both they are moving.I have also changed 2 temperature valves and the same thing.I have also change and the chip inside the ecu and the same. What you suggest?Maybe ecu problem?I want also to ask a triangle bolt in side the motronic what does? And in the thermostat i have 2 sensors. One is for the fan i thing, the ather?

throttle switch? It controls the operation of the idle valve. It is located on the bottom of the throttle body. It may be out of adjustment.

If it does the same thing with multiple idle valves, its either the switch or the wiring

Ok, now im confused.... What year is the car?

The sensor in the thermostat should be the temp sensor, not in the exhuast manifold....

If your idle is changing when you unplug those things, that would mean that the ICV is working usually. What indicators do you have that it is not working?
