Will 205/65/15 fit E36?

A fellow member is offering me 205/65/15 snow tires to fit on my stock rims (Phone dial looking?)
As a higher profile, will they rub?
Stock is 205/60/15 and my car is an S with sport suspension.
Anyone try Nokian Hakkapeliita winter tires?
Thanks
Rod

You can use this to approximate how much taller they will be.
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/brochure/info/tmpInfoTireMath.jsp

You should be able to visually tell if a taller tire will fit. In the front check clearance to the lower spring stay on the strut. In the rear check the inside walls of the inner and outer fender well.

Thanks!
Wow .41" higher (I assume this .205" top)
Formula is wrong in that my speedo will show less than actual speed, but that's irrelevant for my question.
My problem is I don't want to buy/mount them to find they rub.
Not sure what to do on this.

No it is .41" more sidewall so an extra .41" top and botton. The overall diameter is .8" more.

The formula is right just possibly confusing wording. If you are going 67.11 your speedo will show 65.

It's a big change.

Considering I will have more sidewall flex and I corner hard, I don't think this will work.
The 205's are already tight. I might have issues with snow build up as well.
What do you think?
Thanks for your help.

I know nothing about snow or snow tires, sorry.

Sidewall flex on a 205/60 must already me bad I cant imagine a 65 being much worse. You say the 60's are tight so it sounds like the 65 wont fit.

An important thing to keep in mind is that tire sizing is not absolute, and can vary significantly from each manufacturer. I have seen this firsthand when trying to size tires for some of my Porsche cars - one tire in the same size may fit better than another in the same size from a different manufacturer. It's best to find a tire shop that may help you out by letting you try on various sizes to see if they will fit. Last time I was at Discount Tire, they worked with me on this...

It probable makes more sense just to buy new Pirelli's like I had before in the stock size.
