Air con /pollen filter

Two things.

i think my AC needs recharging...the air comes out but isnt very cold and doesnt have a huge amount or air force.

Someone has suggested that the pollen filter needs replacing to get the air to flow more freely and with more pressure.??
if so ? where is the pollen filter and how do you change it...

your help and suggestions are always appreciated

thanks

It's in the evap coil blower box behind the center console. Just inside the firewall sitting on the tranny hump.

Remove the panel below glove box, left panel in the passenger footwell, and the glovebox. Behind the glove box unbolt the control module carrier (the big bracket with all of the wires and boxes mounted to it) and let it hang so you can get clearance to the filter.

On the side of the blower box there is a knob that twists and releases the filter. You may need to break the filter frame at 2 preassigned places to get it to fit in.
