Reading BMW Fuel Injection Fault Codes

so i just did this in my 94 318i and it flashed the code 1286, and it continued to flash that code about 15 times in a row then i finally turned my car off and tried the procedure again and it did the same. now that was the only code it flashed and its not listed on the page of codes. Any input or opinions? Thanks

The Knock Sensor test pulse is different then a faulty Knock Sensor. Check out this thread where I had a similar problem.

Fault code 1226!

Here is another listing of fault codes as well.

Good luck...Tim
